Headquartered in McLean, VA, By Light supports defense, civilian, and commercial IT customers worldwide. The high fidelity flight sim division of By Light (Formerly Veraxx Engineering) is a fast paced, highly technical division supplying modeling, simulation, and training solutions. Services include hardware, software, and system engineering, requirements assessments, system development, integration, testing, documentation, and customer support services. Veraxx has a high level of expertise in flight simulation hardware and software development, as well as computer architecture, tactical environments, interoperability (HLA/DIS), avionics systems, and real-time embedded systems. Veraxx is the OEM for several high fidelity simulators to include MV-22, CH-53, H-1, MH-47, MH-60 and AH-6. Veraxx has just won several long-term contracts to develop and upgrade domestic and international flight and aircrew training systems. Looking for an innovative self-starter with knowledge of military aircrafts and aircraft systems. The job entails analysis, documentation, and testing of pilot and aircrew training devices. Candidate will interface with the customer on test requirements and procedures. Candidate will oversee and perform testing of training devices. Candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of flight simulators and test systems such as avionics, cockpits, interfaces to audio, visual, motion, and I/O systems, and Instructor Operator Stations (IOS).

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience is required.
  • Running a simulator test program.
  • Detailed knowledge of simulators, training, and test procedures.
  • Aircraft and/or aircraft training device test procedure creation and execution.
  • Aircraft and/or aircraft training device systems.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Simulator Visual Display Systems.
  • Knowledge of military aircraft systems and avionics.
  • DOD Acquisition Gates (SFR/SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR).
  • Specific complex testing requirements for visual systems, cue synchronization, and interoperability.

Responsibilities
