About The Position

The Workday Technical Lead directly supports the IT HR Product Team and is primarily responsible for the design, development, testing, implementation, and support of Workday integrations across all IT and business systems. Additionally, this role will also support the portfolio of other HR solutions. This role will act in a technical lead capacity and will be responsible from driving the evaluation of new and existing systems to determine integration requirements and provide solutions utilizing services, workflows, and tools that align to enterprise strategies and adhere to architectural principles and best practices. This position will lead the planning, coordinating, and operations of the system(s), including daily support using best practices for business operation, and ensuring the system’s availability and functionality across the portfolio. This position will report to the IT HR Product Owner as an embedded IT Workday resource within the HRIS team. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who understands HR technology tools and has expertise in enterprise application integrations. An ability to think critically and outside the box is a must. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in related field
  • Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications.
  • In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 16 years of related experience is required.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Proficiency in multiple integration areas: Workday Studio, Orchestration, Connectors, EIBs/iLoad solutions and Payroll Integrations (PECI)
  • Knowledge of XSLT /XML
  • Experience building Workday Extend Applications
  • Prior experience with requirements gathering, integration design, testing and deployment
  • Understanding of global HR landscape as well as HR functions
  • Experience with full system integration testing and HR systems release cycles

Responsibilities

  • Complex reporting (Custom reports, calculated fields, Workday object model, BIRT)
  • Web Services and APIs: Understanding RESTful APIs, SOAP, and GraphQL is essential.
  • Security and Authentication: Knowledge of OAuth, SAML, and other authentication mechanisms ensures secure data exchange between systems.
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications and documentation for integration processes, configurations, and best practices
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in integration technologies and AI/LLM integration
  • Proactive monitoring and operational best practices (integration and performance monitoring, break fix, and troubleshooting)
  • Design and develop integrations between internal and third-party systems (SaaS)
  • Support, troubleshoot and maintain applications and integrations
  • Contribute to the design and evolution of system architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and alignment with business needs
  • Effectively communicate, partner with, and execute cross-functional projects
  • Develop a deep understanding of the business area and systems to guide you in designing effective solutions
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of integration methodologies and processes
