As a Principal Industrial Specialist you must possess excellent writing, verbal, organizational and customer service skills. You must be a Self-starter with the ability to work under minimal supervision. You also must have the ability to develop solutions for issues of moderate complexity.

Requirements

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • Minimum 3–5 years SCIF/SAPF accreditation experience.
  • Experience working with ICD 705 standards for construction, IDS, access control, and TEMPEST
  • Experience in drafting, submitting, and managing SCIF/SAPF accreditation paperwork.
  • Experience working with NISPOM, DoWM 5205.07, and other relevant regulations.
  • Experience in conducting design reviews, preparing waiver requests, and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • DoD Clearance: Top Secret
  • Security Clearance Status: Active and existing security clearance required on day 1

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections of SAPFs/SCIFs to ensure compliance with applicable regulations (ICD 705, Tempest, DoD Manual 5205.07, NISPOM, etc.).
  • Document inspection findings and develop remediation plans for identified deficiencies.
  • Prepare, review, and submit SCIF/SAPF accreditation paperwork, including Fixed Facility Checklists (FFCs), Conceptual Design, Construction Security Plans, and other required documentation.
  • Provide recommendations and guidance on facility improvements to meet security requirements.
  • Maintain current knowledge of regulatory changes and updates relevant to SAPF/SCIF construction and accreditation.
  • Liaise with government accrediting officials (Cognizant Security Authorities) and internal stakeholders to facilitate the accreditation process.
  • Policy & Process Alignment: Ensure alignment of security policies and processes among regional teams to maintain consistency and compliance.
  • Analyzes complex physical security issues and provides cost-effective recommendations that meet policy requirements.
