About The Position

We are seeking a detail‑oriented, reliable Print Mail Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will operate high‑volume printing and inserting/mailing equipment to process outgoing letters, statements, billings, and notices. Working under the direction of the Team Lead, you will ensure the timely and accurate preparation of confidential customer communications while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards. This position is ideal for someone who is hands-on, comfortable with digital print technologies, and eager to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of print production experience (print, digital print, or mail operations).
  • Ability to learn quickly and take coaching well.
  • Comfortable using production software and digital print technologies.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to lift materials, stand for extended periods, and work with high‑volume equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and maintain all print equipment, ensuring proper functionality and print quality.
  • Utilize middleware software to control and monitor production output.
  • Prioritize print jobs to meet established service-level agreements.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues using standard procedures and perform routine maintenance.
  • Conduct quality checks, sort printed materials, and prepare items for distribution.
  • Operate automated inserters to assemble complete mailings, including letters, forms, brochures, policy information, and confidential documents.
  • Ensure all output matches mailing instruction pages (MIPs) and job totals.
  • Monitor equipment performance, making adjustments to prevent errors, rework, or equipment damage.
  • Perform daily cleaning, minor repairs, and safety checks.
  • Review random samples to verify accuracy and quality.
  • Maintain a positive, team‑focused attitude and contribute to a collaborative work culture.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements.
  • Document vendor service calls and escalate equipment concerns as needed.
  • Respond to customer service inquiries related to print/mail workflows.
  • Monitor and stage consumables such as paper, ink, envelopes, and supplies.
  • Complete additional tasks, administrative activities, or special projects assigned by leadership.
