About The Position

The Prior Authorization & Scheduling Coordinator will support the clinic and physician care team by providing administrative and patient care services. This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm out of our Hudson rheumatology clinic. Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.

Requirements

  • Ability to:  Comply with company policies, procedures, practices, and business ethics guidelines. 
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, (e.g. HIPAA, Stark, OSHA, employment laws, etc.) 
  • Demonstrate prompt and reliable attendance. 
  • Work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately, and meet deadlines. Prioritize workload effectively.
  • Communicate respectfully and professionally in face-to-face, phone and email interactions.
  • Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Administrative or medical office experience preferred
  • Medical terminology knowledge strongly preferred
  • Customer service experience
  • Prior Authorization and scheduling experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Submitting, tracking, and following up on prior authorizations for infusion and specialty medications.
  • Communicating with insurance companies, providers, and patients regarding PA status and requirements.
  • Scheduling and updating infusion appointments in alignment with approved therapy plans.
  • Ensuring accurate documentation in the EMR and maintaining compliance with clinic protocols.
  • Serving as a liaison between the clinical team, infusion center, RN’s, providers, and patients to support timely and efficient care delivery.
