Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current RN/LPN licensure in the state.
- Current CPR certification.
- Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, basic math skills; nursing skills per competency checklist.
- Has the ability to read, follow written instructions, and document services provided.
- Is self-directed with the ability to work with little direct supervision.
- Is kind, reliable, and compassionate.
Nice To Haves
- One (1) to two (2) years of recent acute care or home care experience preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Admits new clients to private duty services and re-evaluates client needs.
- Develops the plan of care.
- Performs skilled nursing services as requested by the client and as prescribed by the healthcare practitioner.
- Communicates with the physician regarding the client’s needs and reports any changes in the client’s condition; obtains/receives physician’s orders as required.
- Communicates with community staff to strategize about how to improve client outcomes.
- Performs supervisory visits to evaluate client’s satisfaction with care and services provided.
