About The Position

Overview Since 1985, HOPE Center , the Ryan White-Funded HIV/AIDS clinic serving North Central Health District’s 13 counties, has been providing care under the medical direction of world-renowned infectious disease doctors and spearheading new approaches to HIV/AIDS care. The center serves those living and affected by HIV/AIDS, providing a comprehensive, personalized approach to treatment that includes medical services, behavioral health services, peer counseling and assistance with housing, transportation and finances. Established in 2019, COMPASS Pharmacy specializes in HIV/AIDS, hepatitis and pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP). Though the pharmacy is focused on these services, COMPASS remains a full-service pharmacy open to the public, designed to serve the community by offering pick-up, delivery and mail-order services. Hours needed are usually Mon-Fri 9am-2pm and to cover for PTO New location is 3920 Arkwright Rd, Suite 415, Macon, GA Responsibilities Responsible for performing all of the dispensing duties of a pharmacist, that all customers receive safe and accurate dispensing, and for adhering to all State and Federal Pharmacy laws regarding the dispensing of medications, record keeping, etc. Successful candidate will also be responsible for expanding and enhancing clinical services in the ambulatory care setting including MTM in this position. Pharmacist will precept pharmacy students and residents and serve as a drug information resource to patients and other healthcare professionals. Qualifications Experience: One-year experience as a practicing pharmacist is preferred Knowledge of drugs and their indications, contraindications, dosing, side effects, and proper administration. Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel. Knowledge of polices and regulations pertaining to the disbursement of pharmaceutical drugs. Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards. Ability to supervise and train assigned staff. Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications. Requirements
