About The Position

The Process Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing advanced automation solutions that improve operational efficiency and enhance both workforce productivity and member experience. The engineer ensures that ECU best practices are followed, selecting the right tools and approaches for the right processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience developing and supporting business applications.
  • 2+ years of experience with application development, testing procedures, report writing, systems process design, or equivalent processes.
  • Experience in IT solutions, infrastructure, SDLC, testing, security and application administration.
  • Technical experience developing low code/no code automation.
  • Python, shell scripting, SQL development, or similar.

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft Power Platform and SharePoint.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification – Yellow or Green Belt.
  • Certification in one or multiple RPA and/or other emerging automation/ cognitive technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement scalable automation solutions using a variety of platforms (e.g., RPA, low-code/no-code, scripting, and traditional programming).
  • Apply sound Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies to deliver high-quality, maintainable automation solutions. Maintain comprehensive documentation.
  • Ability to execute on multiple projects within required timelines and expectations and effectively communicate updates with team and management.
  • Maintains understanding of the full architecture stack with an ability to communicate effectively on a variety of information technology (IT) topics.
  • Evaluate automation designs for potential impacts on data privacy, security, and performance.
