Job Title : Process Development Leader Reporting To: Manager, Process Work Schedule: Onsite – Buffalo, NY Moog is the world-wide leader of advanced flight controls and actuation for commercial and military aircraft. We are positioned on virtually every aircraft flying today, supplying highly reliable systems that are supportable and add significant value for our customers. Moog is hiring a Process Development Leader to support our Military Aircraft Group. In this role you will report to the Operations Excellence Manager and will have an onsite work schedule in East Aurora, NY

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Technical Business with at least 3 years of experience or Associate’s degree with at least 7 years of experience
  • Experience in problem solving, project management, facilitation, and data analysis
  • Experience with lean and six sigma principles, concepts, and tools
  • Strong public speaking, facilitation, and presentation skills in front of a large audience

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and drive teams through multi-day events in which you are all in a room solving a problem, guiding a team from current state gaps to a desired future state
  • Facilitate a large audience or cross-functional team through structured A3 Problem Solving (8 Step)
  • Serve as the primary speaker and focal point during meetings, training sessions, or group discussions, demonstrating strong presence and command of the room. Lead presentations with confidence and clarity, effectively capturing and maintaining the attention of diverse audiences.
  • Project manage Kaizen Events from start to close meeting business timelines
  • Remove barriers, schedule, and coordinate cross departmental teams to work towards a common goal
  • Create process maps, identify the point of occurrence, and perform multi-level pareto analysis
  • Lead the team through root cause analysis and developing countermeasures
  • Analyze data and information to determine if countermeasures are successful
  • Scheduling and leading teams through Gemba walks
  • Identify lean wastes and application of lean tools
  • Use advanced statistics to identify, analyze, and break down a problem
  • Encourage, motivate and foster an environment for continuous improvement
  • Support the selection, mentoring and development of the next wave of leaders through Lean teachings and coaching
