All internship positions are designed to give college students an opportunity to apply techniques learned in an academic setting while obtaining new skills. This is a paid internship offering full-time hours during the summer months. All interns are required to conclude the program by giving a formal presentation on their work. Please note that no relocation assistance or sponsorship is provided for the internship program at this time. Position Summary: We are looking for a highly motivated undergraduate intern to assist in both product development and process improvement initiatives. This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting new product innovation as well as optimizing workflows and operational processes within a biotech environment. The intern will work closely with the Process Development Manager and Manufacturing teams to contribute to impactful projects across the product lifecycle and manufacturing operations.

Requirements

  • Must be a currently enrolled student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to the internship
  • Must have completed (at minimum) the sophomore year of college
  • Must be able to work full-time during the duration of the internship program
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in biotech product development or healthcare industry.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior internship or academic project experience related to biotech is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Process Development Manager with daily project tasks and coordination efforts.
  • Help prepare documentation, presentations, and reports related to product development stages.
  • Coordinate communication between internal teams including R&D, marketing, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas towards product improvements and innovation.
  • Track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to help ensure on-time progress.
  • Gain exposure to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and product launch processes.
  • Support the identification of bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement using data-driven approaches.
  • Help develop and test process improvement proposals, including pilot projects and workflow changes.
  • Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate findings and recommendations.
