This job is temporary in nature. There is no commitment for full time employment after the completion of program; however, internship and Co-Op programs should primarily be used as a strategic feeder to full-time recruitment efforts. Apprenticeships are common in functions such as: IT, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, General Management, or General Administration. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES In accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position: Duties and responsibilities will vary and will be determined by functional supervisors. Candidates will be assigned to a supervisor who will provide guidance during work assignment and complete a written evaluation at the end of the experience. Apprentice should be participating in an academic program for the duration of their assignment. On the job training should relate to the apprentice's field of study. Apprentice may work a full time or part time schedule. Apprentice may receive credits, certifications or fulfill requirements for graduation through an apprenticeship period. Complete projects that increase process efficiencies, reduce cycle time, cost, and improve overall quality of execution within assigned department using project management methodologies (I.E. FPX). Makes significant improvements in the assigned areas by using process excellence methodologies (Lean/Six Sigma). Undertakes and successfully completes project tasks to include any of the following: optimizing manufacturing processes, maintaining product/process documentation, testing processes, equipment, raw materials and product, and validating equipment and processes. May assist in crafting concepts and designs/approaches for new products/processes/test methods. Prepares standard reports/documentation to communicate results. Follow all environmental, safety and occupational health policies (i.e., ISO14001 & OSHA's 18001). Other duties assigned as needed.
