About The Position

Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Process Engineer Intern to join our Ashland Specialty ingredients G.P., business at our Hopewell, Virginia location. This position will report to the Process Engineer Manager. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: Responsible for making continuous improvement of Hopewell manufacturing processes. The improvements may be focused on cost, capacity, through-put, product quality, safety, or environment. Typical projects may include: Determining the root cause of chronic operating problem. Providing recommendations and assist in implementing solutions. Analyzing production data and quality data to determine optimum operating conditions or increased volume Implementing sustainable solutions to address deficiencies identified In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following: Undergraduate Engineering Student between their junior and senior year Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 Highly motivated individual with interest in Specialty Chemical Manufacturing Must be a self-starter with urgency for delivering results.
