About The Position

Provide process engineering support across a range of oil and gas, petrochemicals, chemicals and sustainable energy projects. Prepare complex conceptual and feasibility studies including process design recommendations on Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and Detailed Engineering (DD) project activities. Conduct simulation of processing facilities systems and equipment from conceptual design to front-end engineering and design (FEED) phase including utilizing simulation software including ASPEN HYSYS/ASPEN Plus/Promax/Proll/Unisim/Pipesim/FlareNet. Prepare engineering documents including process simulations, Heat and Material Balances (HMB), Block Flow Diagrams (BFD), Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), datasheets; hydraulic calculations and analysis; calculations and specifications of process equipment. Design of processing unit operations including separation, distillation, chemical reaction, stabilization, compression, pumping, water treatment, relief & safety systems, power generation, and other associated plant utilities. Provide technical direction and guidance as it relates to the selection, design, performance evaluation, debottlenecking and troubleshooting of vessels (separators, towers), process reactors, heat exchangers, piping, control valves, pressure safety valves (PSVs) and other safety systems. Participate in the development and/or acquisition of new process technologies, pilot testing, scale-up design, and proof of concept including associated technical reviews and due diligence activities. Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and other project teams to achieve project objectives and facilitate resolution of any process design issues. Assist with Business Consulting and Project Structuring including techno-economic assessment of project viability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
  • Three years of experience in job offered or in a Process Engineer Lead-related occupation
