Job Functions The Process Engineer is responsible for the blow molding process in its entirety, this includes, but not restricted to, establishing, monitoring and maintaining the process parameters, design and process development, continuous improvement, machine troubleshooting and maintenance, robot programming, Lean Manufacturing techniques, tooling set-up and design, training, and special projects to ensure that the customer’s requirements are met on a timely basis with a manufactured product. Work is performed regularly on all three facility shifts. This will be a hands-on working position. Unusual hours and travel will be required. This is a salaried, exempt position. Reporting Relationship The Process Engineer reports directly to the plant Engineering Manager, and indirectly to the corporate Process Group Manager. The Process Engineer may also receive direction from the Manufacturing Manager, Quality Manager, and Facilities Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Establish, monitor and maintain the process parameters ensuring production standards, quality standards, and customer requirements are met
  • Responsible to ensure customer requirements are met (including by not limited to: setting quality objectives corrective and preventative actions, capacity analysis, logistics information, customer score cards and customer portals.
  • Coordinate all process development activities at the plant level. This includes design, prototyping, scheduling, APQP process, and reporting
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement and corrective action activities
  • Coordinate troubleshooting and repair of equipment
  • Basic robot programming Coordinate and complete tooling changes and machine set-up
