About The Position

R&D Process Engineering Technician (2nd Shift) Looking for a new opportunity? Are you innovative, good at troubleshooting and interested in developing new and improved containers? Then this opportunity is for you! As an R&D Process Technician, you operate equipment to develop and test plastic containers & related tooling. Our R&D Center in Medina leads product development of containers for top consumer brands. In this role, you will contribute to Plastipak’s high quality standards ensuring equipment is working efficiently, monitoring production processes and making adjustments or troubleshooting as needed. Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent with 2+ years working experience
• Proficient mechanical, electrical or other technical/machine operation experience
• Ability to work 2nd shift schedule

Nice To Haves

• Associates in Mechanical Technology or equivalent preferred.
• Working knowledge of extrusion or blow molding equipment is preferred

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate blow molding or injection molding machinery and related equipment.
• Assure customer requirements are met by performing quality checks for specifications, such as bottle weights & dimensions.
• Identify corrective actions to eliminate defects through the product development process.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machines and auxiliary equipment as assigned.
• Join with your team to identify continuous improvement opportunities focused on safety, reliability, quality & scrap reduction.
