Role Summary The Process IV Operator is responsible for operating plant equipment, executing procedures as written, and keeping production running within defined parameters. The role requires strict compliance with SOPs, attention to detail, and consistent execution of tasks in assigned operating areas.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in a chemical plant or industrial environment.
  • Ability to qualify in multiple operating areas.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including climbing, lifting, working at heights, and working in variable conditions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience issuing work permits.
  • Prior involvement in emergency response.

Responsibilities

  • Execute Size Class Process IV tasks as specified in SOPs.
  • Execute Dry End Field Process IV tasks as specified in SOPs.
  • Execute Utility Field Process IV tasks as specified in SOPs.
  • Cover additional operating positions based on shift requirements and plant conditions.
  • Follow all plant safety rules, EHS procedures, and PPE requirements.
  • Prepare equipment and issue critical work permits according to EHS standards.
  • Serve as an Emergency Response Team (ERT) member and complete required training.
  • Keep assigned work areas within plant housekeeping expectations.
  • Record operating data, log entries, and time records accurately and on schedule.
  • Report equipment problems, abnormal conditions, and process deviations to designated personnel.
  • Relay essential information to the next shift and relevant departments when required.
  • Complete tasks assigned by plant leadership to meet operational demands.
