The expectations of this role include: completion of process work as assigned, providing ad-hoc analysis for the organization, identification of metrics which will help improve team productivity or efficiency, and becoming a trusted advisor to the organization for questions regarding process and performance. Our team supports the Electric Business Unit. The projects run by the team have the potential to impact National Grid as a whole and our customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Analytics, Statistics, or related.
  • 3-5 years experience in process improvement.
  • Experienced utilizing the Lean & Six Sigma skillsets (Process Mapping, Critical Problem Solving, Data analysis, Solution Selection, Kaizen events, Mistake Proofing, Kanban applied digitally).
  • Familiar with Utility Optel processes and procedures.
  • Highly experienced/Advanced Blueworks User.
  • Experience in High Level Design process for software implementation.
  • Experienced user of MS office suite including Word, Excel, PPT.
  • Experience with statistical analysis software such as Minitab or similar.
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification.
  • Experienced with Visio or similar, Sharepoint, and MS Power Apps.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced operations environment.
  • Passion for data and data enabled business process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver process improvements within end to end processes as well as improvements of functions supporting the end to end process.
  • Drive execution of the daily tasks required to accurately measure the performance of the end to end process.
  • Ensure functional accountability for each step in the process using proven performance measurement methodologies and process improvement tools.
  • Support operational and organizational change as a result of true end to end cross functional process and performance improvement efforts.
  • Develop practical solutions and methodologies to solve complex business problems.
  • Lead the delivery of several process improvement projects, with the use of appropriate resources and team members.
  • Support the tracking and analysis efforts for a comprehensive set of cross functional key performance indicators contributing to the end to end process.
