Requirements

  • Must be able to maintain focus on multiple duties, prioritize, and adjust schedule as necessary.
  • Must maintain ownership of responsibilities in the department and support the quality system process.
  • Must have a general mechanical ability.
  • Must be able to speak, write, and read effectively.
  • Good comprehension skills at a normal business level.
  • Must possess good verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must have required tools to perform job functions.
  • 3 (Three) years of experience in plastic blow molding or equivalent on the job training.
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent from a college or university in an engineering or related field; and one to five years related engineering experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead implementation of root cause analysis and corrective actions to solve process issues.
  • Assures product and process quality by setting process variables; establishing standards; and confirming manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and/or update training materials, standard operating procedures, work instructions, and forms to ensure that optimized processes are effectively adopted and maintained by teams.
  • To diagnose and resolve machine and processing problems to ensure product meets specifications and requirements.
  • Gather and analyze data, performance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to quantify process inefficiencies and track improvements over time.
  • To perform the job functions of the Process Engineering Supervisor in his absence.
  • Provides training to Group Leader staff.
  • Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures.
  • Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow.
  • Must be able to utilize the MATTEC production reporting system to control and improve the process. For example: production reporting downtime reports, SPC, SQC, etc.
  • Develops the manufacturing process by setting SPC limits and testing methods.
  • Responsible for the reliability of the Mattec program.
  • Exhibit leadership skills by overseeing and instructing activities of mold set up personnel and group leaders.
  • Generate Capex for New Mold and/or Refurbishment Molds
  • Able to process FAs in new and refurbished mold qualifications and lead discussions with production/project managers.
  • Prepare process reports by collecting and analyzing information.
  • Assists in sampling and testing.
  • Develop required new procedures to assure process consistency.
  • Contributes to team effort.
  • Supports and adheres to all Amcor safety policies.
  • Follows and supports all Amcor GMP’s.
  • Other duties as assigned
