YOU As a Set-up Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring our machines are set-up and running so that we can fill customer demand in an efficiently, safe, and timely manner. This position reports directly to the Department Manager and is supported by the department’s Team Lead(s). This position works a Monday - Thursday shift – 5:00am to 3:30pm, with overtime as needed.

Requirements

High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) desired
Set up experience on machines.
Mechanical ability & Safety.
Able to consistently prioritize safety by demonstration of safe work practices and promoting a safe work environment.
Accountability & Dependability.
Able to consistently demonstrate reliable punctual attendance.
Able to work 4–10-hour days Mon-Thursday with overtime as needed.
Successful completion of a 90-day probation period.

Responsibilities

Ensure all machines are up and set up to run efficiently to avoid any mechanical or safety issues, as the shift requires. (60%)
Responsible for safety, quality assurance, basic preventive maintenance and responding to problems immediately (line stops, and on calls, quality/safety issues etc.) First line of support for production. (30%)
Helping machine operators with issues of reworking the product. (10%)
