About The Position

The Process & Standards Leader is responsible for driving the successful localization and standardization of gas turbine rotor and stator assembly operations across Gas Power manufacturing sites and joint ventures globally. This role plays a critical part in supporting global capacity growth, ensuring world class safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance, in particular for 60 Hz gas turbine products originating from Greenville.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Supply Chain, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 10 years of manufacturing experience within a global supply chain environment.
  • Strong knowledge of gas turbine rotor and stator assembly operations (60 Hz), preferably with experience in Greenville, SC–based processes.
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal).
  • Willingness to travel internationally (~25%).

  • Extensive experience in gas turbine operations and/or part manufacturing (e.g., rotors, stators, combustors).
  • Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proven leadership experience in global, cross-functional environments.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical thinking, and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead localization and standardization initiatives for gas turbine rotor and stator assembly across internal plants and joint ventures.
  • Define and execute project strategies, plans, and milestones to build manufacturing capability at global sites.
  • Ensure effective transfer and deployment of manufacturing standards, product & process documentation, tooling, and quality requirements.
  • Partner closely with Greenville operations, engineering, quality, supply chain, and global teams to document and deploy best-in-class assembly and test processes.
  • Establish training requirements and technical support models to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
  • Drive quality excellence through standard processes, engineering verification, and continuous improvement methods (e.g., RCA, CAPA, Zero Defect).
  • Apply Lean manufacturing principles to optimize layouts, processes, and operational performance.
  • Support critical operational execution and present complex topics clearly to senior leadership.
  • Lead, coach and influence cross-functional, global teams in a matrix environment.
  • Partnering with local plant leadership & operations on localization & standardization initiatives and projects.
  • Closely collaborate with GSC Process Engineering teams, & GP Engineering, for matters like standardization (1P1P) & localization.
