Requirements

  • 5-7 years related experience
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Occasional travel (0-5%)
  • Occasional overnight stays (0-5%)

Nice To Haves

  • Additional skills and training may be required such as CAD layout, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (G, D&T), Lean Manufacturing principles, PLC programming, robotics, electrical and electronic troubleshooting, process capability theory and statistical process control (SPC).
  • Exhibit good communication and interpersonal skills amongst shop floor and support staff. Must be able to execute small projects and lead small teams within process scope.
  • Must have excellent hands-on expertise in assigned manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily shop floor operations, resolving production issues, quality problems, and implementing process improvements.
  • Activities may include generating N/C programs, participating in review of rejected parts to determine disposition and further action.
  • Estimate and calculate standard times.
  • Structure and verify bills of materials.
  • Update process documentation.
  • Submit maintenance requisitions.
  • Assist with machinery and equipment installation.
  • Perform analysis, data collection, and documentation of manufacturing processes.
  • Analyze, recommend, and implement layout and workflow improvements consistent with lean manufacturing methodologies.
  • Assist with workstation and line layouts, balancing of work content, determination of labor requirements, material handling and storage solutions, process documentation, and operator training.
