Primary Responsibility Under the general supervision of the Campus Instructional or Student Affairs leader, the test proctor is responsible for the administration and test security procedures for the Pearson VUE testing center including CLEP and all on-line tests. This is a part-time position which is limited to 28 hours per CMC’s workweek. CMC’s workweek is Saturday through Friday. Pre-requisites for Position (Qualifications Standards) Education and experience sufficient for the rigors of the position. Examples may include: Associate’s Degree or two-year college certificate, vocational school or technical program beyond high school, business college or similar training efforts and 1-year related work experience, or High School Diploma/GED and 2 years related work experience. Or equivalent education and experience that will provide the necessary knowledge, skill and abilities to perform the functions of the position. Special Skills or abilities directly applicable to the position with knowledge of a variety of standard administrative and business methods and procedures; standard Microsoft Office software. Ability to: read, write, speak, and understand English well; operate variety of office equipment; proficient in computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets and electronic mail; multi- task; meet deadlines; strong verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills. The hiring pay rate is $26.48 per hour. Benefits include retirement contribution, annual and sick time, mental health resources, and tuition benefit. CMC utilizes a wage progression compensation model that accounts for a candidate’s skill and experience. Minimum Qualifications: Essential Duties This position is responsible for administering Pearson VUE, CLEP, and all other online tests for registered students in accordance with specified testing rules and security procedures to ensure the testing environment is securely maintained. Responsibilities include, but not limited to; Preparing testing room for examination. Verifying registered testers through the Pearson VUE support services website. Maintaining the Pearson VUE candidate logbook. Being present during all testing sessions. Keeping up to date on Pearson VUE client changes and announcements. Run daily backups for both Pearson VUE and CLEP. Other duties as assigned. Incumbents in this position will adhere to all safety and compliance policies of Colorado Mountain College while performing all duties assigned. Altered work schedule including evenings and weekends and travel within CMC service area may be required at times, based on position responsibilities. Working Conditions This position requires constant sitting, occasional walking, standing, and driving; occasional handling objects, pushing/pulling; frequent reaching with hands/arms, and use of finger movements; occasional lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 lbs. Constant written and oral communication and the ability to reason and analyze and perform calculations occasionally.
