About The Position

We are looking for a Procurement Collaboration and Oversight Lead to lead our Procurement Collaboration and Oversight team who believes that compliance is a team sport. Instead of just auditing from afar, you will work side-by-side with our Procurement and Supply Chain teams to build and maintain a "culture of readiness." Your goal is to ensure our Contractor Purchasing System (CPSR) remains DCMA-approved by providing proactive oversight, hands-on training, and clear guidance to our buyers. You aren't just the "compliance officer"—you are the strategic partner who helps our buyers succeed. The Work: Integrated Oversight: Move beyond "pass/fail" auditing. Work directly with buyers during the solicitation and award phases to ensure Price Reasonableness and Source Selection documentation are audit-ready before the file is closed. Buyer Mentorship: Act as the "Help Desk" for the procurement team. Provide clear, jargon-free interpretations of FAR/DFARS requirements to help buyers navigate complex buys. Collaborative Policy Development: Partner with procurement leadership to create workflows that are both compliant and efficient. You ensure that "following the rules" doesn't mean "slowing down the business." Real-Time File Reviews: Conduct "live" file compliance checks and over-the-shoulder reviews. Use these as teaching moments to elevate the team’s overall competency. CPSR Leadership: Lead the DCMA audit process by showcasing our team's collaborative strengths and robust internal controls. Training Curriculum: Develop and deliver engaging training sessions that translate dense federal regulations into practical, everyday procurement actions. The "Guide" Mentality: You enjoy teaching. You’d rather help a buyer fix a mistake today than write them up for it tomorrow. DFARS Fluency: You have a deep understanding of DFARS 252.244-7001 , but you know how to explain it to someone who isn't a lawyer. Bridge Builder: You can balance the firm requirements of DCMA with the fast-paced reality of a high-growth purchasing department. Audit Veteran: You have successfully led or supported a CPSR and understand that a prepared, confident buying team is the best defense.

Requirements

  • Experience: 8–10+ years in Federal Procurement/Subcontracts, with a heavy focus on compliance as a service.
  • CPSR Expertise: Direct experience managing the DCMA Contractor Purchasing System Review process.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional emotional intelligence and communication skills. You must be able to influence and lead without always relying on "authority."
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; NCMA certifications (CPCM/CFCM) are a major plus.
  • The “Guide” Mentality: You enjoy teaching. You’d rather help a buyer fix a mistake today than write them up for it tomorrow.
  • DFARS Fluency: You have a deep understanding of DFARS 252.244-7001 , but you know how to explain it to someone who isn't a lawyer.
  • Bridge Builder: You can balance the firm requirements of DCMA with the fast-paced reality of a high-growth purchasing department.
  • Audit Veteran: You have successfully led or supported a CPSR and understand that a prepared, confident buying team is the best defense.
