For more information, please visit www.wealthenhancement.com. Our Corporate office is seeking a Procurement Intern to join our team throughout the summer from approximately June through August. This offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in procurement within the financial services industry. As a Procurement Intern, you will work closely with our Category Management & Sourcing, Procurement Operations, and Vendor Governance teams, supporting strategic initiatives, sourcing events, and contract management. Throughout the internship, you will gain exposure to vendor negotiations, learn contract lifecycle processes, and develop analytical skills working with spend reporting and risk analytics. You’ll also collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Legal, IT, and Compliance, providing a strong foundation for students interested in procurement, supply chain, or finance careers. This is a hybrid work opportunity intended for qualified candidates open to commuting to Wealth Enhancement’s advisor office in Warren, NJ. In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the hourly rate for this position is $21 per hour.

Requirements

  • Must be actively enrolled in a college or university degree program to be eligible for an internship. Candidates who have already graduated or will graduate before the start of the summer intern program are not eligible.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to successfully interact with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Detail oriented, highly organized and adaptable.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferably pursuing bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, and supply-chain fields.
  • Preferably students between their junior and senior years.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning Support Assist with gathering information and preparing materials to support strategic objectives and project plans.
  • Shadow team members during meetings with internal stakeholders and vendor partners to learn about planning processes.
  • Category Management Assistance Help compile and organize data related to supplier portfolios, market trends, and risk profiles.
  • Support basic data analysis tasks, such as preparing spend reports and summarizing findings under guidance.
  • Sourcing Events & Administrative Support Provide administrative assistance for sourcing activities, including RFx events and supplier reviews.
  • Help maintain documentation and track progress in platforms such as Jira and Ironclad to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Contract Review Support Assist with uploading and organizing contracts in the Ironclad system.
  • Learn about vendor diligence requirements and support the team in preparing documentation for contract execution.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration Exposure Participate in meetings with internal teams (Legal, IT-Security, Compliance) to observe collaboration processes.
  • Assist with scheduling, note-taking, and follow-up tasks to support cross-functional initiatives
