Reporting to the Town Engineer, the Procurement Specialist-DPW performs administrative, technical and clerical work in support of procurement, purchasing, contract administration, and related operational functions for the Department of Public Works Engineering office. Essential functions include, but are not limited to: Provide administrative and procurement support to the DPW Engineering Division. Coordinates and supports DPW procurement activities, including preparation and processing of purchase orders, requests for quotes, bids, and contract documentation in accordance with Massachusetts procurement requirements and Town policies. Assists with contract administration, including maintaining contract files, tracking renewals, and budgets. Services as liaison with vendors, contractors, and internal departments regarding procurement and purchasing matters. Input and maintain in database and/or GIS format: the plan imaging system, utility permitting, other Town infrastructure, records and filing systems. Maintain accurate departmental records and filing systems. Preparing and maintain forms, reports, and correspondence and related information for office. Assists with tracking departmental expenditures, purchase activity, and budget-related documentation for DPW Engineering projects. Process invoices and payment for the department
