The Supervisor of Procurement is responsible for managing the complete life cycle of assets, to include leading the Procurement and Asset team in managing purchase orders, receipt of goods, and physical and digital inventory reconciliation. Salary ~ $75,000 annual

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3 years+ in specialized profession or equivalent; Proficient in specialty including prior senior lead experience.
  • 3+ years in procurement or inventory management.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
  • Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics, etc.
  • Ability to create, maintain and incorporate functions into Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, databases, and Powerpoint presentations to support business objectives.
  • Regularly uses moderately complex oral and written skills.
  • May train others in functional areas, interact with others and make presentations to department or middle management.
  • Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.
  • Decisions generally affect own job or assigned functional area.
  • Results are defined; sets personal own goals and determines how to achieve results with few or no guidelines to follow; supervisor/manager provides broad guidance and overall direction.
  • Handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously with moderate complexity.

  • Prior experience with assets management software.
  • Prior experience in an automotive environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all activities within the procurement process from order placement to product deployment, ensuring compliance with the organization's ordering process.
  • Source new vendors, negotiate pricing, and provide support with the resolution of claims or disputes.
  • Build and maintain good business relations with vendors, while keeping informed of new products and services, market conditions, and current prices, and routinely evaluate vendor performances.
  • Manage inventory procedures, including updating and maintaining inventories for all equipment and supplies.
  • Conduct periodic asset audits, investigating inventory inaccuracies and discrepancies.
  • Manage asset life cycle, including disposal procedures and submit Fixed Asset Forms.
  • Support the purchasing function and other relevant departments, communicating any supply problems which may impact business operations
  • Coordinate with the Mobile Auto Tech Support team for equipment installation and maintenance as needed.
  • Develop and maintain efficient communication channels with management and vendors.
  • Create Standard Operating Procedures and provides training for the Procurement and Asset Management Team.
  • Oversee and monitor the completion of special projects or required initiatives.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and motivate the procurement and asset team members.
  • Assume other duties as assigned.
  • Supervise the work of others, including planning, assigning and scheduling work, reviewing work and ensuring quality standards, training staff and overseeing productivity.
  • May offer recommendations for hiring, termination and pay adjustments, but do not have final responsibility for making these decisions.
