Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality customer service.
  • Train, schedule, and supervise produce clerks.
  • Achieve department financial goals and manage budget.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints professionally.
  • Execute weekly merchandising and marketing plans.
  • Perform inventory, order supplies, and maintain stock levels.
  • Forecast weekly sales and track purchases.
  • Support corporate/division initiatives.
  • Assist customers with product selection.
  • Inspect code-dated items for freshness.
  • Write department schedule based on forecasts.
  • Follow country-of-origin labeling requirements.
  • Remove outdated produce and maintain freshness.
  • Provide product info, samples, and promote sales.
  • Receive deliveries, build displays, rotate stock.
  • Transport produce using equipment.
  • Prepare produce for crisping.
  • Maintain compliance with safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Manage price accuracy and signage.
  • Clean display and backroom areas.
  • Conduct temperature checks twice daily.
  • Adhere to uniform and grooming standards.
