Physicians Mutual's Product Management team is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Medicare Supplement Product Analyst to contribute to our mission of delivering strategic insights and driving profitability. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for analyzing, developing, and maintaining financial reporting that aligns with company objectives. Working independently with minimal supervision, you will generate actionable insights that inform decision-making, ensure regulatory compliance, and support both internal teams and external partners.   • Gather, prepare, and analyze actuarial and financial reporting data with minimal supervision.
  • Develop and implement measurements to communicate financial and operational goals.
  • Prepare monthly and ad-hoc reports; research, resolve, and correct discrepancies as needed.
  • Build and maintain profit models, experience reviews, rate filings, and related procedures.
  • Compile, evaluate, and interpret statistical data for management decision-making.
  • Conduct research and analyze company and industry trends to support business strategies.
  • Prepare, document, and communicate results of various analyses and projects clearly and effectively.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years' experience with data management and reporting software such as Microsoft Excel and Access.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to prepare complex financial and statistical reports that synthesize interrelated business assumptions.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to resolve discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills for presenting results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Prior background with insurance products experience within the insurance industry.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting product development, pricing, or rate filing processes.
  • Experience with actuarial modeling software such as ALFA, with the ability to develop special application to analyze complex business data.
  • Proficiency with Tableau.
