We have an opportunity for a Product Delivery Center (PDC) Senior Manager - Foreign Object Debris assembles and test multiple commercial and military engine programs. We are looking for a Product Delivery Center (PDC) Senior Manager - Foreign Object Debris to provide leadership and support to a cross functional team of operations and quality members. The Product Delivery Center (PDC) Senior Manager - Foreign Object Debris will assume the ownership of FOD prevention across the PDC sites and leads deployment of the FOD prevention program. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining associated procedures and standard work, deployment of the FOD prevention program, developing and maintaining required training, driving strategies applicable to FOD prevention and utilizing CORE tools to track, monitor, and improve effectiveness of the program. This position reports to the PDC Quality Director and is responsible for the following: Ownership of Foreign Object Damage & Debris (FOD) prevention process, deployment of FOD prevention program, related training, and compliance management; administration of FOD prevention methodology throughout the entire IPD Value Stream. Monitor FOD Prevention Program effectiveness utilizing robust data analysis and Responsible for implementing CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence), continuous improvement, implementation. Support related investigations, RCCA facilitation and provision of Subject Matter Expertise; provide oversight on preventive and corrective action implementation and sustained effectiveness. Interface with audit teams and/or performing assessments and effectiveness checks as required based on performance, risk assessments, and implementation of preventive/corrective actions, as well as supporting external audits. Lead/Chair the FOD Council, and continually assessing effectiveness including, structure, membership, and participation. Analyze FOD Event data and communications to interested parties, stakeholders, and all levels of leadership; provide FOD Event metrics to associated dashboards, control towers, scorecards, etc. Communication of FOD elimination/prevention opportunities, best practices, procedures, and standard work throughout the company, supply chain, and customers; benchmark P&W against best-in-class FOD prevention practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 10 or more years of experience in a quality, engineering, manufacturing operations, program/project management or closely related industrial environment OR a Master's degree and 7 or more years' experience in a quality, engineering, manufacturing operations, program/project management or closely related industrial environment
  • Working knowledge of Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention, quality and continuous improvement principles(such as CORE, Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing)
  • Experience in a team leadership/supervisory/managerial capacity
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Power Point, Excel, Access, Project)

Nice To Haves

  • Product knowledge of major rotating, critical to quality hardware
  • Demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of management and external customers (such as DCMA, FAA).
  • Experience and knowledge of quality procedures, quality management systems, AS9100 and regulatory agency requirements.
