The US base salary range for this full-time position is $159,000 - $233,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Industrial Design, Computer Science, or a related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in a Product Design Engineer-related occupation.
  • Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Industrial Design, Computer Science or a related field, and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a Product Design Engineer-related occupation.
  • Position requires 2 years of experience in the following:
  • Hardware subsystem design and validation, including thermal, structural, waterproofing, or grounding analysis
  • Electro-mechanical systems integration with cross-functional teams for multi-components systems such as server, storage, and IT equipment systems
  • Collaboration with global manufacturing suppliers on part manufacturing and final product assembly, including onsite factory support
  • Troubleshooting and root cause analysis or failure analysis of hardware components and manufacturing processes
  • Technical data analysis and application of engineering fundamentals to validate designs and implement findings

Responsibilities

  • Apply design and engineering expertise for mass production and problem-solving utilizing CFD tools like FloTHERM, IcePak for complex 3D modeling and Ansys for Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to solve thermal and structural failures.
  • Manage the product design lifecycle and cross-functional communication that directs the end-to-end lifecycle via Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems (Windchill or Agile) to track Bills of Materials (BOM) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO).
  • Own the development of highly complex product systems or components, ensuring successful delivery through all project milestones.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in multiple technical domains, influencing product direction and driving system-level innovation.
  • Mentor junior engineers and enhance team capabilities by actively participating in design reviews and sharing critical knowledge. Anticipate and mitigate product design risks by analyzing data, validating designs, and implementing strategic improvements.
