Full-time • Senior

The Design Manager role is a new position for our team — a player-coach who balances hands-on product design with people leadership. This is ideal for a senior-level designer who wants to continue shaping product experiences while also guiding and developing a small team of designers. As a Design Manager, you’ll blend hands-on design with people leadership. You’ll own product experiences end-to-end in a defined area while also guiding a small group of designers to do their best work. Some weeks you’ll be deep in Figma, shaping flows and collaborating with PMs and engineers; other weeks, your focus will lean toward coaching, feedback, and team development. In this role, you’ll ensure both impactful design outcomes and a thriving design team. You’ll provide clarity, feedback, and growth opportunities for your reports, while continuing to set a high bar for usability, craft, and product thinking through your own design contributions.

  • Lead end-to-end design work: framing problems, exploring solutions, and delivering polished, dev-ready experiences.
  • Stay deeply connected to users through research, testing, and discovery.
  • Translate insights into clear, usable, and delightful designs that account for multiple states, edge cases, and accessibility.
  • Collaborate closely with PM and Engineering partners to define problems and identify the right solutions.
  • Contribute to our design system and help evolve shared patterns and standards.
  • Manage and support a small group of product designers, providing regular feedback, coaching, and career development.
  • Run effective 1:1s, set growth goals, and help designers stretch their craft and impact.
  • Create an environment of trust, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Facilitate critique sessions and ensure high-quality design outcomes across the team.
  • Partner with Design leadership to shape hiring, onboarding, and team culture.
  • 8+ years of experience in product design, with at least 1–2 years of mentoring or team leadership.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates strong UX thinking, high-quality craft, and real user impact.
  • Experience designing and shipping digital products in cross-functional teams.
  • Clear, confident communication of design decisions, user needs, and tradeoffs.
  • Comfort balancing hands-on design work with people leadership responsibilities.
  • Curiosity, empathy, and a drive to improve user outcomes through design.
  • Proficiency in Figma and fluency with modern design system practices.
  • $180,000 - $220,000 a year
