About the position
We're looking for a curious, creative, and detail-oriented UI/UX Design Intern to join our product design team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience designing real products in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You'll assist in designing intuitive, user-friendly interfaces and experiences, and get exposure to the full product design process-from research and wireframing to prototyping and developer handoff. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product designers, developers, and product managers to contribute to live projects
- Help create wireframes, mockups, interactive prototypes, and visual assets using Figma
- Participate in user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate ideas
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions and UI/UX design reviews
- Help maintain and evolve the design system for visual consistency and scalability
- Learn and apply accessibility standards (ADA/WCAG) to ensure inclusive user experiences
- Support documentation efforts for design decisions and style guides
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree or certificate in UX/UI Design, Graphic Design, HCI, or related field
- A portfolio (can include school work or personal projects) demonstrating an understanding of design thinking, layout, and usability
- Proficiency with Figma (or Sketch/Adobe XD)
- Interest in accessible design, data-driven design, and responsive UI for web or mobile
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Curious mindset and a willingness to learn from feedback
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with Agile or collaborative development environments
- Experience with basic HTML/CSS or design handoff tools like Zeplin or Figma Dev Mode
- Exposure to user research methodologies and tools (like Maze, Optimal Workshop, or similar)
Benefits
- Internship pay will be between $25-35 per hour
