About the position
With minimum supervision, provides product development support to the department to ensure the timely development of new designs and availability of products. Act as key liaison between Altair and our manufacturers for private label design and development of new products. Create product lines sheets and technical profiles for each development. Responsible for daily communication for each development, assures design direction is clear and precise, and samples are delivered as scheduled. Represent Altair frame manufacturers and suppliers for product development, design, and quality-related communications from concept to delivery of products. Monitor manufacturers and supply companies to obtain new product releases and secure priorities in production. Responsible for all logistics pertinent to incoming frames shipments, both new and existing; includes products, freight forwarders, and deliveries. Update internal reports and schedules, communicate with vendors, and coordinate samples of quality-related products to vendors for action and follow-up. Responsible for developing frame orders and keeping factories on schedule; develops bar code and retail-related support orders based on frame orders. Responsible for frame case management to ensure suppliers ship on time and items are in stock. Oversee the internal product development process for new frame and part orders, sales samples, new model set up functions in Macola system, and new frame releases. Responsible for setting up all new model and parts information into inventory management system; update existing SKUs with current availability status. Responsible for coordinating the monthly Product Release schedules and deliveries of new products across multiple departments, and updating the staff accordingly. Communicate with vendors, both foreign and domestic, to ensure accurate and timely receipt of information, develop a summary order report, maintain records and files of inventory items. Ensure new frames meet division quality standards prior to receipt into inventory. Track, update, and publish reports showing status of each shipment, update incoming and in-house shipment files, initiate or resolve discrepancies related to deliveries, develop packets including purchase order(s), count sheets, tracking sheet, and quality sheets. Match frames to purchase order, receive frames into inventory system at specified quantity and value. Provide backorder and availability reports for Retail Sunglasses. Update inventory records based on status information on restricted inventory items, develop inventory support items, and modify existing reports to include new models/SKUs.

Requirements
- Two to four years of experience developing and analyzing data.
- Two to four years experience with product development.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to coordinate with internal and external contacts.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong spreadsheet and word processing skills.
- Experience managing product delivery, market communications, and business operations.
- Proficient with spreadsheets, word processing, office automation, and automated inventory/distribution applications.
- Proven ability to quickly and accurately accomplish multiple tasks.
