About The Position

As a Insurance Product Analyst, you will be a key member of the Product Operations team, responsible for driving product development and ensuring the integrity of existing products. Success in this role requires exercising extreme ownership, exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, critical thinking, and a solution-oriented mindset. The Product Analyst will collaborate across multiple departments to deliver compliant, competitive, and innovative products from concept through implementation. At Berkley One, you'll join an entrepreneurial organization and use your analytical and organizational skills to drive profitable growth. This role would be well suited to candidates with experience working as a Claims Analyst, Underwriting Associate, Actuarial Analyst, or have general insurance knowledge looking to transition into a career in Product Operations or Product Management. This is NOT an information technology job.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of insurance product development experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with insurance contract design (e.g., ISO) and with pricing and coverage concepts preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accuracy and consistency across all product components—forms, rates, rules, and systems—through meticulous attention to detail and rigorous quality checks.
  • Compile and analyze state and industry research and competitor data to inform strategic initiatives, including form, rate, and rule reviews, new product development, and underwriting appetite modifications.
  • Review and assist in drafting policy forms (coverage forms, policyholder notices, selection forms, etc.) to meet regulatory requirements, customer needs, and Berkley One’s standards.
  • Review regulatory changes, analyze impacts across rates, rules, forms, workflows, and systems, and propose actionable plans to maintain compliance.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to create comprehensive line of business plans for rate and coverage considerations.
  • Support the full product development life cycle, including drafting forms, preparing filing documents, responding to objections, and overseeing implementation and post launch reviews.
  • Coordinate with IT on product requirements and conduct UAT on behalf of business stakeholders.
  • Respond to form and rate related questions, providing guidance to underwriting and other internal business personnel.
  • Drive projects from start to finish, maintaining structured timelines and holding stakeholders accountable for deliverables.
  • Actively participate in Berkley One Innovation, identifying opportunities to improve product operations and processes and enhance portfolio performance.
