About the position

The Product Development Coordinator is responsible for gathering and compiling product documentation, participating in improvement initiatives, and facilitating development strategies on behalf of Vandor. The Product Development Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that products enter the market successfully and can be supported by sales and customer service after launch. This position will work cross-functionally with management, R&D, marketing, purchasing, accounting and production departments within the organization. The Product Development Coordinator will also work in conjunction with vendors as a backup to the purchasing manager and to gather data for product specifications. The information gathered by the Product Development Coordinator will be organized in the form of bills of materials, item master, routings, and standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to ensuring positive customer experiences.
  • Manage timelines for product implementation.
  • Coordinate with production, purchasing, R&D, and marketing.
  • Maintain and input item master for all raw materials, work in process and finished goods.
  • Develop and input bills of materials and routings into Syspro ERP software.
  • Gather documentation of new materials such as specifications and safety data sheets.
  • Research and gather quotes from purchasing manager for raw materials.
  • Provide backup to Purchasing Manager.
  • Understand and manage non-disclosure agreements.
  • Accurately enter data into a variety of computer programs.
  • Actively participate in weekly production and marketing meetings.
  • Prepare and organize item listing and tickets for annual inventory.
  • Comply with federal, state and company policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Exhibits regular and predictable attendance.
  • Maintains clean and orderly work area.
  • Assures safe practices are implemented and followed.
  • Adheres to Vandor’s values, principles, and policies as published in the Vandor Team Member Handbook.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Demonstrates excellence in technological skills required to perform responsibilities (including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, etc.) and engages in continuing education to maintain this competence.
  • Able to interact in a team setting and work well on team projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Manufacturing is preferred.
