Heatcraft Worldwide Refrigeration is a long-standing leader in the world of commercial refrigeration, providing climate-control solutions to customers in more than 70 countries. Their state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in the cities of Stone Mountain and Tifton, Georgia, produce evaporators, condensers, compressor racks, and other top-quality refrigeration products for their five market-leading brands: Bohn, Larkin, Climate Control, Chandler, and InterLink. Heatcraft products are primarily used to preserve food and other perishables in supermarkets, convenience stores, restaurants, warehouses and distribution centers, in addition to other applications such as data centers, pharmaceutical and industrial process cooling. The Product Development Desiger will have the opportunity to produce pattern designs using Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools.

Requirements

  • Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Requires at least 2 years related experience.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Knowledge of CAD software techniques and tools.
  • Knowledge of design tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detail drawings of products from sketches using CAD equipment and associated peripheral equipment and software.
  • Follow instructions and procedures.
  • Perform non-complex detailing, redrawing, lettering and tracing of drawings on components, assemblies and engineering change orders.
  • Ensure that drawings incorporate all design features and maintain the product style.
  • Contribute design modifications to improve the product quality and function.

Benefits

  • Compensation: This is a salaried non-exempt role. This means that employees are paid a salary and also receive overtime pay when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law). The starting salary range for this role and market is between $67,000 - $88,000 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
  • Employees in this role are also eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan.
