Job Description
Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the product ensuring activities are properly aligned with company goals, values, and strategies. Manages results through appropriate rate levels, product design, rating segmentation, profile management and marketplace positioning.
Roles & Responsibilities:
* Manages personnel as required. Maintains proper personnel practices including hiring, performance evaluation, salary administration, promotion, transfer and termination. Trains and develops staff
* Coordinates rate review process and manages timeline.
* Drives key pricing and coverage changes and innovations.
* Facilitates review and approval of program filings. Ensures company compliance with all statutory requirements.
* Effectively communicate and present product recommendations.
* Design program manuals, applications and underwriting guidelines.
* Monitor external influences, market changes and competitors.
* Develop budgets, product forecasts and annual product plans.
5+ years Property & Casualty experience in a Product or similar capacity
* Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Math, Statistics or similar field
* MBA or similar advanced degree, CPCP or FCAS preferred
* Strong project management skills and leadership, with also a willingness to work independently through all steps of the product development life-cycle
* Strong analytical abilities including understanding of advanced mathematics and statistical concepts.
* Strong command of Excel and other computer and MS Office Suite applications.
* Understanding of Pricing Segmentation
* Strong understanding of Insurance Policy Contract Language
* Strong understanding of actuarial principles, GAAP/STAT Accounting principles, State Regulations, Reinsurance
