About The Position

Tyto Athene is searching for a Product Development Specialist (PDS) to support a critical Secure Communications growth initiative within our Justice and National Security division. Responsibilities: Work directly with Secure Communications Program and Account Managers to identify key OEMs/Vendors/Partners with core technologies and products (existing and emerging). Build new/enhance existing partnerships which support growth initiatives, foster strong and active relationships, and enhance Tyto’s Secure Communications capabilities to produce measurable benefits to our customer and our company. Establish and maintain a proactive product development program with key OEMs, Vendors, and Partners to create an artifact library which contains OEM requirements, specifications, design configurations, use-cases, and warranty information. Participate in OEM, Vendor, and Partner training events which focus on Technical Repair & Certifications, Operator/End-Users, Sales and Product Knowledge, Safety & Compliance, and Application/Software implementations. Create a comprehensive training plan for Secure Communication’s Engineers, Designers, Programmers, and Integrators which conforms to OEM training requirements (new products and existing products), partnership requirements, O&M/warranty requirements, and within an alignment which supports our team member’s professional development and corporate capability enhancement. Communication: Communicate effectively with customers and team members, both electronically and verbally. Assist the Secure Communications team with analyzing and refining technical solutions based on OEM recommendations, technical dependencies, integration requirements, and warranty programs. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience working directly with major communications EOMs such Cisco, Extron, Crestron, AMX, Avaya, LG, CDW, Poly, and IVS to develop, maintain, and enhance partnerships which support training, engineering, design, programming, pricing, and warranties.
  • Experience developing, managing, and enhancing product development programs which integrate directly into the execution of Site Surveys, Estimations, Designs, Quotes/Pricing, and Warranty/O&M activities.
  • Experience with establishing, enhancing, and monitoring complete Inventory Management Systems to track, manage, and control inventory/stock levels, sales, and deliveries.
  • Experience working directly with vendors and suppliers to create and produce quotes, engineering diagrams, supply distribution and delivery schedules, and delivery confirmations.
  • Thorough understanding of secure communications (to include Audio Visual) technologies including secure voice and video communications, engineering of secure systems, product lifecycles, integration and compatibilities, and End-of-Life planning for O&M activities.
  • Experience integrating Product Development lifecycles into over-the-horizon O&M plans to effectively manage and monitor product lifecycles with reliance on end-of-life/end-of-support mechanisms.
  • Experience creating and managing an integrated, effective, and efficient schedule which includes coordinating training events, CONUS-based travel, customer site visits, and portfolio-driven events as necessary.
