About the position
The Product Development Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of laboratory operations. This position requires a strong background in lab safety, quality control, and hands-on laboratory procedures. The technician will be responsible for managing product analysis and testing, documenting results, and providing technical support to various departments including Marketing, Sales, and Production. The role also emphasizes the importance of maintaining a safe and organized laboratory environment.
Responsibilities
- Fully manage and lead product analysis and testing while documenting progress and results in lab notebooks.
- Record, organize, and communicate results/data from experiments and testing.
- Observe safety and environmental guidelines while handling products.
- Maintain laboratory and storage areas, as well as equipment.
- Be an active player in cross-training and training of team members across technologies.
Requirements
- 4+ years of lab safety experience.
- Experience with lab quality processes including calibration and certification.
- Knowledge of statistics and intellectual property (IP).
- Hands-on experience with laboratory procedures and documentation in electronic/physical lab notebooks.
- Strong digital skills.
- Familiarity with 5S methodology.
- Experience with lab safety programs for product development.
