About The Position
PURPOSE OF JOB: To interpret, quote and develop wire harness production documentation from detailed drawings and customer input by applying established harness design standards and practices ESSENTIAL DUTIES: · Review customer drawings for technical issues and provide solutions · Interpret and establish all costs associated with customer’s harness design · Source and investigate pricing and availability of new materials · Create quotes for new and existing customers that satisfy the customer’s needs · Create drawings, From-To, using internal software based on customer designs · Create materials and templates in JobBoss as needed · Maintain a rapport with the customer through the design process and make adjustments as needed · Communicate requirements to the production team using official Handoff template to confirm and resolve issues with final harness designs · Manage Part Approval process · Maintain accurate paperwork and job files electronically and physically to facilitate smooth transition of information · Adhere to ISO requirements related to the job area Perform other duties reasonably related to the position
Requirements
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
- Ability to troubleshoot
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Broad/strong knowledge of product line and pricing
- Strong working knowledge of PC and Microsoft Office
- Customer service minded
- Read and understand written sentences in work related documents
- Speak and write effectively to convey information
- Able to manage one’s own workload for maximum efficiency while maintaining quality
- Attendance percentage of at least 96%
- Cooperate with coworkers and management
- Able to work independently with minimal direction
- 20/20 vision with correction
- Must be able to differentiate between red and green colors
