Product Engineer

About the position

As a Product Engineer for JD Coffeyville Works located in Coffeyville, KS, you will design drivetrain components within transmission and gearboxes such as gears, shafts, castings and other components to meet performance, cost, and schedule requirements. You will perform engineering calculations to solve design problems and develop design alternatives. Additionally, you will manage design from concept to prototype and through to full production through collaboration with other functional groups. You will provide technical support to marketing, manufacturing, quality and supply management organizations, and develop and execute test and analysis plans for product verification and validation.

Responsibilities

• Design drivetrain components within transmission and gearboxes such as gears, shafts, castings and other components to meet performance, cost, and schedule requirements.
• Perform engineering calculations to solve design problems and develop design alternatives.
• Manage design from concept to prototype and through to full production through collaboration with other functional groups.
• Provide technical support to marketing, manufacturing, quality and supply management organizations.
• Develop and execute test and analysis plans for product verification and validation.

Requirements

• Exposure to product design, development and implementation.
• 3D Product modeling experience.
• Experience working in teams to solve problems.

Nice-to-haves

• Technical experience relating to design/diagnostics of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic systems.
• Experience with engineering tools, systems and databases.
• Familiarity with MS Office products, Creo, SAP.
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
