RF Product Engineer
Seeking a highly technical, motivated, and experienced RF Product Engineer for RF IC product development, manufacturing and support, for receivers and transmitters in high-reliability applications for aerospace and defense. You will be working closely with engineers across multiple functional teams and simultaneously handle multiple development projects. This position includes responsibility for both development and sustaining activities, and includes limited travel.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with design / process engineering and production team to manufacture high-reliability RF products to exacting and unique requirements driven by specialized customer needs with full serial traceability. Improve yield, perform occasional failure analysis, and recommend corrective actions. This involves maintaining and developing product datasheets, process control plans and process specifications, product travelers and engineering changes in accordance with company and customer specifications. Generate and analyze detailed data packages with high serial traceability, utilizing MS Excel formulas and formatting.
Support team and provide feedback in defining and prioritizing production schedule and identifying and avoiding production choke points. Schedule, manage and execute multiple, simultaneous projects to meet deadlines and communicate production and technical goals or issues to management and the customer. Establish good channels of communication to support the product team in meeting production and development schedules.
Support engineering product and process development studies by assisting the design of experiments, evaluating the results, and drawing conclusions from those experiments. Support quality team to maintain ISO 9001 and MIL-STD requirements by performing scheduled internal audits and action plans.
Work with customers to avoid quality or performance issues and to resolve those that occur. Generate and complete failure analyses and corrective actions as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- BSEE with 2+ years of experience in product engineering
- Good understanding of RF theory including components, circuits, and systems
- Hands-on RF test experience
- Electronics manufacturing knowledge
- Strong analytical skills with categorizing failures and test results
- Excellent communication skills
- A passion to win/contribute
- Ability to work/thrive in a team environment
- US Citizen or Green Card Holder
- Excellent organization and management of serialized data strongly desired
- Hi-reliability product engineering experience and knowledge of MIL-PRF-19500, MIL-PRF-38534 MIL-PRF-38535 desired
