About The Position

The Product Innovation Engineer is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing new products or enhancing existing ones to meet customer needs and market demands. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including R&D, design, marketing, and manufacturing, to ensure the successful implementation of innovative solutions. The engineer is expected to stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Innovation Management, or a related field is required
Proven experience in product development and innovation, preferably in a related industry
Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering design tools
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials
Excellent problem-solving skills and a creative mindset
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Good communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams
Knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies
Valid driver's license is required

Nice To Haves

Experience with rapid prototyping, 3D printing, and other advanced manufacturing technologies is preferred

Responsibilities

Product Development Lead the ideation, design, and development of new products or product features from concept to launch
Conduct market research and gather customer insights to identify opportunities for innovation
Utilize CAD software and other engineering tools to create detailed product designs and prototypes
Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility and optimize production processes
Innovation and Research Explore and integrate new technologies, materials, and processes to enhance product performance and customer experience
Collaborate with R&D teams to experiment with new ideas, conduct testing, and refine product concepts
Analyze industry trends and competitive products to inform the innovation strategy
Project Management Manage product innovation projects, including setting timelines, budgets, and milestones
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope
Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress and challenges
Quality Assurance Ensure all products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements
Participate in testing and validation processes to verify product performance and reliability
Identify and address potential risks in the design and development stages
Customer Focus Engage with customers to understand their needs, preferences, and pain points
Translate customer feedback into actionable product improvements and innovations
Support the marketing and sales teams in communicating product benefits and features to customers
