About the position

We are looking for a seasoned product manager to drive a core pillar of our digital transformation effort: Authentication & Trimble Identity. Role and Responsibilities Authentication is the process of validating your identity to securely access Trimble products and services. Trimble Identity (TID) provides the front-end user interface where customers navigate the authentication process. As a result, it can significantly impact customer experiences, especially when customers run into hurdles such as password problems. As the Authentication/TID Product Manager, you will be a vital part of the product team, responsible for driving customer-centric development across the product ecosystem related to sign-in and security.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product vision for Trimble Identity (TID). Communicate this vision clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the opportunities and challenges related to authentication best practices and evolving industry security protocols.
  • Prioritize backlogs and drive the development of new features to accelerate digital transformation efforts across Trimble.
  • Collaborate across engineering, UI/UX, and business stakeholders to drive continuous improvement of our platform services.
  • Work with user experience designers and researchers to create proofs of concept as needed.
  • Seamlessly transition between high-level enterprise strategy and detailed implementation discussions as contexts and audiences change.
  • Synthesize requirements from varied stakeholders in a way that enables engineering teams to maintain focus on velocity while iteratively delivering capabilities.
  • Coordinate the creation of enterprise data products with Trimble’s enterprise data and data governance teams.
  • Own the communication related to product initiatives. Make and stand by your recommendations and guide internal stakeholders through the change management process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, design, or another related field; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Software Engineering, Design, or a related role with specialized expertise in managing product lifecycles and portfolios.
  • Proven ability to drive P&L success for a product or portfolio of products.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and common product management tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with technical software elements such as APIs, middleware, and back-end web technologies.
  • Familiarity with authentication workflows & protocols (user, device, and client application; OAuth, OIDC, and SAML).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Humility and a willingness to ask questions.
  • Integrity and the courage to speak up when necessary.
  • Familiarity with design practices and common industry frameworks like 'design thinking'.
