About The Position

As a Product Manager in Guidewire’s Product Development & Operations (PDO) organization, you’ll join the group that delivers secure, scalable cloud and data platforms powering mission‑critical solutions for global P&C insurers. You’ll work at the intersection of data, analytics, and cloud‑native services, partnering with engineers, designers, and product teams in a collaborative, learning‑oriented environment. Together, you’ll build data experiences that help insurers operate efficiently and support their customers in life’s most challenging moments. In this role, you’ll own Data Studio, the end‑user application that enables business and data teams to access, transform, and curate data on the Guidewire Data Platform. You will define and deliver features that make it easier for customers and internal teams to build analytics content, dashboards, and insights on top of our cloud‑native data services. You’ll contribute directly to PDO’s FY26 priorities around AI, cloud, and data platform adoption by improving developer and analyst workflows, supporting new analytics products, and driving measurable value and efficiency for insurers worldwide.

  • 2+ years of product management experience, ideally on technical, platform, or data products.
  • 3+ years of experience working with data management, data integration, or query and analytics applications (for example, ETL or ELT tools, data catalogs, SQL‑based tools, or BI and analytics platforms).
  • Familiarity with concepts such as data ingestion, modeling, cataloging, integration, and enrichment, and how they support downstream analytics, reporting, and business workflows.
  • Experience collaborating closely with engineering and UX teams, translating complex technical requirements into clear, user‑centric workflows and intuitive interfaces.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience defining and using product metrics to inform decisions, validate outcomes, and demonstrate product impact.
  • Ability to manage complex initiatives and cross‑team dependencies with limited supervision, while communicating clearly and transparently with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • A collaborative, adaptable working style and comfort operating in ambiguity within a fast‑moving, cloud‑first environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Conceptual understanding of microservices, distributed systems, APIs, and cloud‑native architectures, including AWS data and analytics services.
  • Technical knowledge of big data or cloud data technologies, tooling, and infrastructure (such as data lakes and warehouses, streaming platforms, and orchestration tools).
  • Experience in a B2B SaaS environment, ideally multi‑tenant platforms serving enterprise customers in data‑intensive domains.
  • Background working with or alongside software engineering teams (for example, as an engineer, technical analyst, or solutions engineer).
  • Experience with modern UI and UX patterns and design systems for data‑focused or developer‑focused products.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product vision, roadmap, and feature backlog for Data Studio, aligning with PDO’s priorities around cloud, AI, and data platform adoption to deliver measurable value for Guidewire customers.
  • Collaborate with one or more engineering teams through ideation, technical design, development, and launch of Data Studio capabilities used by internal application teams and customers to build analytics content and data solutions.
  • Lead feature‑level design sessions with engineers, architects, and UX to define intuitive, accessible workflows and UI patterns for data ingestion, transformation, cataloging, and enrichment.
  • Partner with customers, internal product teams, Professional Services, and Go‑to‑Market stakeholders to gather requirements, validate use cases, and translate needs into clear, prioritized user stories and specifications.
  • Define, instrument, and analyze product metrics (for example, adoption, task completion, time‑to‑insight, and data pipeline efficiency) to guide prioritization, measure success, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage cross‑team dependencies across platform, applications, analytics, and security to ensure timely, reliable delivery of Data Studio features that integrate seamlessly with core Data Platform services.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Data Studio and underlying cloud‑native storage, processing, and integration services, supporting customer conversations, sales enablement, support, and QA.
  • Triage, prioritize, and respond to customer issues and escalations, balancing short‑term fixes with long‑term product and platform improvements in a fast‑evolving environment.
