You have a knack for defining problems, falling in love with them, and then iterating on solutions until they are solved. Specifically for this role, you've made AI a core part of how you work. You don't see it as a novelty; you see it as a way to multiply what a focused team can accomplish. You are excited by the challenge of building systems where agents do the heavy lifting so you can focus on the next big bet. You're comfortable making calls with incomplete information, and you do your best work when you have both the autonomy to move fast and a team to think alongside. This role sits at the center of BambooHR's growth strategy. You will own the product-led expansion motion: building the intent signal layer, segmented upgrade experiences, and the experimentation infrastructure that makes expansion precise and automated. You'll work closely with Product Teams, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Experience — you'll have real partners, not just stakeholders. This is a high-autonomy role on a tight-knit, high-impact team for someone looking to push the boundaries of what's possible when you design for the future of human-technology interaction. We don't just use AI — we are rebuilding our product-led growth (PLG) engine around it. Our goal is to push the limits of PLG with agentic workflows that surface and act on expansion signals at scale. We are targeting 500 experiments in the next 12 months, and we need a PM who treats AI not as a feature to ship, but as an operating model to adopt.

Requirements

  • 3+ Years of PM Experience: Ideally in growth, expansion, or monetization within a PLG or product-led sales environment.
  • AI as a Working Tool: You've already integrated AI into your daily product workflows — hypothesis generation, copy variants, data analysis, instrumentation drafts. You don't need to be an engineer; you need to think in terms of what AI makes possible.
  • Experimentation Fluency: You've run experiment programs and understand the mechanics of testing at scale — not just individual A/B tests, but building systems that generate learning.
  • Entrepreneurial Drive: You take initiative and create clarity when there isn't any. You switch easily between creative hypothesis generation and cold, analytical thinking.

Nice To Haves

  • You've shipped agent-assisted operational workflows that replaced manual processes.
  • You've run high-volume experiment programs (multivariate, holdout groups) and can design an experimentation system, not just individual tests.
  • You've used tools like Pendo, Amplitude, or Mixpanel to build segments based on intent and behavior, not just demographics.
  • You have experience building expansion or monetization motions in a PLG environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the AI-Led Strategy: Architect a product strategy that uses agentic workflows to replace manual tasks, enabling us to hit ambitious expansion goals.
  • Build the Expansion Signal Layer: Partner with GTM teams to define fit criteria and ship passive intent-capture mechanisms (limit-hitting, locked-feature clicks, manual workflow patterns).
  • Amplify Our Learning Through Experiments: Take our annual experiment count from the dozens to the hundreds.
  • Design for Agents First: Ensure every signal and meta-event is structured so an agent environment can query "what should this customer upgrade?" You're building for the agent-led HRIS of tomorrow.
  • Harden Data Foundations: Partner with Data Engineering and other departments to ensure behavioral data flows into our models.
  • Experiment Often: Establish our culture of experimentation as a learning mechanism.
