About The Position

Qualcomm is seeking a product manager for cellular modem technology. This position is part of the team which drives Qualcomm’s modem and RF technology roadmaps for AI/ML features.
As a Product Manager for modem technology you will build a strong relationship with modem engineering teams, define product and roadmap requirements, identify/prioritize features for implementation and align plans with various internal business units/product teams. The role is critical in driving the market leadership. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, engineering, marketing, and various business units to bring innovative cellular connectivity AI/ML features to market.
Successful candidates should be able to think strategically, communicate effectively, and will have a proven track record of being able to execute efficiently. As a team player, one should have the innate ability to multitask and adapt quickly to changing needs and working with various stakeholders.
Desired skills and responsibilities
As a Modem-RF Product Manager you will need a strong background in operations cellular wireless protocols and interdependencies.
Strong Understanding of impact of cellular system performance on of different types of applications
Strong Understanding of MLOps, inference methodologies, AI framework and orchestration methodologies
You will be responsible for researching the latest ML/AI developments in the wireless industry and how those impact Qualcomm product plans.
Stay up to date on how capabilities of competitors
Ability to define product strategy based on system design trade-off, ecosystem readiness, opportunity cost etc.
Collaborate with engineering teams to translate product strategy into requirements and commercialization plan
Communicate product plans, benefits, and challenges to a variety of internal and external audiences with the right levels of details
Strong written and spoken communication skills with diverse audiences
Ability to lead without direct authority across organization and industry

Requirements

• Strong background in operations cellular wireless protocols and interdependencies.
• Strong Understanding of impact of cellular system performance on of different types of applications

• Strong written and spoken communication skills with diverse audiences
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.
• 2+ years of Product Management or related work experience.

• 6+ years of wireless industry experience.
• 6+ years of Product Management or related work experience
• MS (Master’s degree) in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering
• MBA (preferred)
