Position Summary: The Product Manager - VFD is responsible for driving revenue growth of our I Series Motec, and I Series Cabinet Mount VFD’s. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Manager (or Engineer) to lead the development and management of these product lines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product management, a deep understanding of VFD technology, and a passion for driving innovation and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy and roadmap for the Motec and Cabinet VFDs, aligning with the company’s overall business objectives and market trends.
  • Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities, customer needs, and industry trends. Use insights to inform product development and positioning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, marketing, and European colleagues, to define product requirements, prioritize features, and oversee the product lifecycle.
  • Engage with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders to gather feedback, understand pain points, and ensure the product meets their needs. Act as a voice of the customer within the organization. Travel up to 25% to support new business development.
  • Develop and implement go-to-market strategies, including pricing, and positioning. Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to drive product adoption and revenue growth.
  • Monitor product performance, analyze key metrics, and make data-driven decisions to optimize product offerings and achieve business goals.
  • Stay abreast of technological advancements and industry best practices. Continuously seek opportunities to innovate and improve the product line.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or comparable work experience.
  • A combination of 5 years experience in engineering, or Product Management.
  • Experience with competitor analysis.
  • Strong understanding of VFD technology and applications.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
  • High levels of initiative and motivation.
  • Adaptability and quick learning.
  • Knowledge of key competitors desired.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
