Product Manager

About the position

We are seeking a Product Manager for the Eggplant Core team. Partnering with the customer representatives and Product Owners, you will be the guidance system that defines our product strategy. Through the product strategy, you delight our customers with a steady stream of valuable functionality in the domain of software test automation, ensure responsible allocation of R&D capacity, and monitor the profitability of our products. You represent the customer in the development process and inform your opinions with hands-on experience using our own software, customer feedback and market knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Define the high-level product strategy for the Eggplant Core team to drive the success of the organization and the product.
• Communicate with all stakeholders: from customers to internal VPs, to individual members of the development team, surfacing the hidden details/requests that make the difference between success or failure, satisfaction or disappointment.
• Document high-level feature requirements and communicate them to the product owners.
• Understand the needs of our customers (before they do!) and keep the customer at the forefront of all the work we do.
• Conveys this understanding and urgency to the product development teams.
• Challenge and inspire the product teams to achieve more than they thought possible but in a sustainable manner.

Requirements

• Master's degree, University Degree or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in a formal Product Manager role.
• Experience in agile/lean as it pertains to product management.
• You view agile as a tool, not as performative art.
• Experience with Craft.io, Jira, or similar application lifecycle management tools.
• Outstanding facilitation and communication skills.
• Acts as a change agent, bringing the organization along for the ride.
• Strong administrative capabilities and methodologies, which allow you to manage and prioritize even the unruliest product backlog.

Nice-to-haves

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a software development owner role, either as a developer, a quality engineer, or product owner.
• Knowledge about the test automation market and test automation software products.
• Bonus points if are already familiar with Eggplant's test automation products.
• Experience with continuous delivery.
• Experience delivering software which leverages OCR technology and AI.
• Experience with managing and modernizing legacy software stacks.
