As a product analyst, you will participate in every stage of the product life cycle to ensure the product meets the needs of users. You will drive the implementation of programs in support of the marketing strategy, business plans, and forecasts for assigned product lines. This role involves maintaining the current status of customer specifications for existing and future products, identifying, evaluating, and recommending marketing opportunities in support of product line objectives, and driving product functionality while delivering high-quality product documentation. You will lead products through scheduled releases, assisting others in managing commitments and resources, and measure and report progress while reviewing deliverables. This position is recognized as an authority within the Corporation, providing leadership and expertise in the development of new products, services, and processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology.

  • Develop and communicate differentiated value propositions and messaging for Oracle’s Linux and Virtualization product line.
  • Work with product teams to create clear proof points that illustrate value propositions.
  • Develop primary customer-facing collateral (web, white papers, videos, etc.) with strong customer business value messaging focused on the Linux portfolio.
  • Create training material for Oracle Sales and Channel Partners around Oracle’s Linux product lines.
  • Develop relationships with development teams, field personnel, and customers to depict Oracle Linux and Oracle Virtual Machine's added value and generate customer references for Oracle data protection solutions.
  • 5+ years experience in marketing Linux or infrastructure solutions with a focus on data center.
  • Demonstrated success in defining and implementing marketing strategies that cross organizational boundaries.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing end-to-end marketing activities involving multiple products, groups, audiences, and deliverables.
  • Proven communication and writing skills with the ability to effectively present to business and technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify customer pain points, repeatable use cases, target markets, and target customers.
  • Proven ability to implement successful go-to-market strategies for data center type products.
  • Undergraduate degree; MBA preferred.
  • Experience using or implementing Oracle, SAP, or Peoplesoft applications.
  • Basic HTML and web technology skills.
